Two important consultations with the aim of determining the future of voluntary sector involvement in health and social care are now open for input.
The consultations have been issued by an advisory group of health and social care and voluntary sector representatives. The review is known as the VCSE Review and was commissioned by the Department of Health, NHS England, and Public Health England. The consultations follow report from the group which concluded that current approaches to partnership, funding and commissioning are unlikely to lead to the desired improvements in health and wellbeing outcomes. The group believe that more effective funding alone will not achieve these outcomes, with collaboration and co-design in services essential to improved health and wellbeing.
The first consultation asks for views from the voluntary sector and from those working in health and social care on the current state of investment, partnership working, and how closer collaboration could be fostered. For more information, see the website.

Regional Events
VONNE will be supporting these national consultations through two regional events in September and October.
